The Curzon Ashton miltary veterans take part in the 'North West Military Veterans Football League'. The 21/23 campaign started in September 2021, an away game against Rochdale AFC Military Veterans. To interact and have as many military veteran sides take part in this football league, we have created a custom 'flexible format'. In our flexible format you are going to be playing once per month, and depending on the opposition you could be playing 5, 7, 9, or 11 a side. Each team plays eachother twice throughout the season, at home and away.

The very first  league dedicated to military veterans was formed in 2018. Curzon Ashton, Wigan Athletic, Everton, Burnley FC, Manchester City, and Preston North End took part. Manchester City were crowned champions. The format for this league was 7 a side. The season after kicked off but was postponed and later cancelled due to Covid - 19. Since the return of football, more community foundations and trusts have started their own Armed Forces programmes, and more football teams have joined our North West Military Veterans League.

Curzon Ashton, Manchester City, Burnley FC, Preston North End, Wigan Athletic, Oldham Athletic, Rochdale AFC, AFC Fylde, and Blackpool AFC all take part in the 2021 - 2023 season.
